Preserving the Pontian Heritage
The Pontian dialect (ποντιακή διάλεκτος) is a vital part of Hellenic linguistic and cultural heritage. Spoken for centuries by Pontian Greeks, it carries within it the history, music, and traditions of one of the oldest branches of Hellenism.
By offering these online classes, the partnering institutions aim to safeguard this dialect for future generations of Pontian Greeks and all those interested in the richness of Greek language and culture.
